In this climate change video essay I talk about the good news about climate change, and how we are facing up to the climate crisis. Our action on climate so far is not enough, but that is no reason to ignore the progress made on climate to date. If you like videos from Just Have A Think or Our World In Data or Climate Town you’ll enjoy this short video essay about climate optimism.

Its the Biggest scam on earth. 😂
Fighting climate change while still being capitalist is the best thing
The price of ignoring climate change is our future, what is the future worth?
Subject:
It will be possible to avert Climate Change, but proactive support of governments of developed and developing nations is mandatory. Let India play a lead role in this
regard.
Climate Change has become a global survival issue now. Since it is a global issue, it needs to be addressed at global scale.
Moreover, instead of wasting costly resources in wars and related wasteful activities, which are due to false ego, greed and undue fear of security among nations, it will be prudent to utilize these resources in mitigating global warming, which is causing climate change. Hence, let us all swear to shun wars and support global peace.
The unprecedented rains, floods, land slides, etc. are due to climate change. These calamities are causing untold sufferings to all the living beings globally and they will not spare any one in the near future. Therefore, governments of all the nations must have to act fast to avert climate change, before it is too late.
The innovator of Carbon-sitnk plant reitrates that if these plants are installed globally at coal/fossil-fuel fired power plants and industries, they will effecrively prevent discharge of colossal amount of CO2, which is one of the major causes of global warming, while wars will further enhance the pace of global warming. Hence, in order to ensure survival living beings, wars must be stopped immediately.
The Carbon-sink plants can fix SOx and capture CO2 in very large amounts from flue-gases of the above said industries. An integrated Stripping plant will release the captured CO2. The released CO2 can be utilized to produce Ethanol, Methanol, Urea, salts, CO2 hydrates etc.
Thus, Carbon-sink plants can effectivly mitigate global warming, but these plants cannot be installed without consudered involvement of governments of developed and developing nations, because these are very costly plants. Moreover, when there is an issue of survival, the cost and all other issues become insignificant.
Therefore, the innovator of Carbon-sink pant is seeking an urgent response and support of influencial individuals and the heads of governments of the above said nations, before it is too late.
The innovator will be glad to share the concept of Carbon-sink plant with the experts of the above said nations. In this regard, please contact the innovator at this email ID:

thank you, it will change soon, there are other source of energy that with international cooperation in coastline we can reduce global warming, sea is huge source of energy, further more we can prevent these phenomena like cyclone and flood and wildfire by using this hot seasonal atmospheric condition, recent years in summer, geothermal energy happens in surface of coastline, there are many countries in coastline with seasonal hot weather and water condition, in sum-up, by using this energy not only is economical but also reduce global warming like Japan, China, India, Mediterranean countries, Iran, Mexico, Us, Canada, (Africa and Arabian countries….) . I invented new method base on air pressure rules and quantum physics ionization sea water minerals in strong dynamic magnet and electrical field and electric chemical reactions for producing electricity and fresh water and fertilizer. 7 methods for reducing global warming I mentioned in my profile.
Among the various things that makes me worried for the climate there's the consumption made by internet
Sadly videos, comments, mails, posts on social media require energy to be uploaded and to stay there.
But internet is also needed to spread information like you do.
We MUST learn to optimise our internet usage. I know that this comment is important and i'm posting it, (for example) but we must learn because everyday we make use of internet without even thinking… We are addicted.
How can we act to solve this problem, to "clean" the internet from what's useless? We must talk about this
That was very interesting about Chinas use of solar energy! Thank you!
"One never notices what has been done; one can only see what remains to be done."
-Marie Curie
Check out “project drawdown,” everyone! It’s a project that’s meant to help!
Too many people talking about climate change.
But 2.7 degrees is our best case scenario not our worst case scenario, 4 degrees is still very much our worst case scenario
6 months down the line, Europe is coming back on it’s promises, is increasing import taxes on Chinese green technologies, US permits for fracking has tripled, Middle East never been more destabilised, US is increasingly provoking China, …
I don’t know, mate. Let’s not be too optimistic.
Agreements are not the result of our actions. So far we are heading around a 5-6C target by 2100 after recalculating. I wanna see results though. I haven’t seen much online spoken about it so I hope the ones you mention here are good but I doubt it a bit
People worry too much. Of course climate change is extremely serious, but there's ALWAYS an existential threat to humanity (e.g. nuclear annihilation, war, famine, plague etc etc etc). This is NEVER going away, so don't worry about these things. Always remember that humans are good at solving problems. This is one problem we're solving, like I knew we would. Stop worrying!
small change to a big problem, acording to this guy, must be called "good news". It sounds to advertisment
2:19 Exactly. I have seen these figures before, but the only thing that matters in the end is how mamny emissions will be prevented. Some of the policies might be in effect without any actual change yet. Mere publicity stunts in some cases.
There are several positive developments related to climate change, including:
Renewable energy growth
In 2023, global renewable energy capacity grew by 50%, the fastest rate in 20 years. More than 30% of the world's electricity is now generated using renewables.
Fossil fuel use decline
In 2023, humans used less oil, coal, and gas to produce electricity than in the previous year, the first time this happened without a pandemic or recession.
Government action
The European Union became the first international body to criminalize the most serious cases of ecosystem destruction. The number of nature-based policy announcements from governments around the world has also doubled in the past year.
Individual and organizational action
More individuals, organizations, businesses, and governments are responding to the climate crisis.
Real-world examples
The Empire State Building is now powered entirely by wind, making it a symbol of sustainability and climate-positive action. Montpellier, France made public transport free, which resulted in a 20% increase in public transport users.
I really hope climate change is minimized as much as possible.
Yes. We will soon be able to make lobster thermidor in the toilet
Progress made? Are you out of your mind?
The worlds energy consumption is growing faster than all the renewables built combined can cover, or in other words, despite all the renewable energy we have now, we're still increasing the use of fossil fuel.
That's not progress, that's the opposite, it has less than zero effect, we're barely slowing down the steep curve of how fast fossil fuel consumption is going up.
One thing governments could do to help climate change, stop going to war all the time
2:49 is that actually true tho because it doesn't feel like it😂
2.7 degree would be a disaster and so far it looks like we are easily overshooting that
socialism can decouple profits from emissions a lot faster
Thank you!
