  1. Building soil is the solution to the problem. Since there is billions of tons of plant food in the air, co2 just need to grow plants. Find a waste area or desert and first capture and hold rain water then let the local plants grow to build up the organic sponge called soil then add fruit trees or whatever. Hemans helping plants grow is the solution to human caused climate change.

  2. Since 1990 CO2 has gone up 60%, there has been mild warming and increased crop production due to the extra CO2. Deserts are greening. Here in Australia we're having an exceptionally cold and wet June. No bush fires of note for some years, and hopefully the opposition wins government and we will have nuclear power in 10 years or so. Happy days.

  3. I've watched this before and I too am trying to spread the message of our need to evolve and change the way we live. It's not just one thing we do but we don't live in balance with the panet and the other life that exists. We are failing our future generations but have to keep trying. Thank you.

  4. Crop yields are going up. CO2 is plant food. And sea levels aren't actually rising. Plants and people thrive when CO2 goes up, and when the planet is warmer. There is no evidence that CO2 drives warming – it's the other way around.

  5. Embedded in the word salad is the key phrase that gives the definitive solution to the problem statement…. Global warming hence climate change root cause is anthropogenic. Caused by mankind. … solution is obvious!!

  6. Having cleared the air with what should be obvious even to climate professors. It should become clear that the 60% increase over the past 30 years hasn’t resulted in a more dramatic temperature increase

  7. Certainly climate professors can explain why. With data hopefully and not hyperbolic language. I’d imagine that the data must exist showing emissions by regions with temperatures in those regions and the CO2 sink rates.

  8. Perhaps the professor is sitting on all that analytical data. Actually should be absolutely simple to understand thereafter how we can move forward to control global temperature and climate.

  9. To me the goal should be, for science that is, not survival but thriving by gaining more control over the environment. They’ve already stated that we are exerting mindless control.

  10. Just found this, but reading below I think there are a l lot of naive people in this world (and I will cop it) that always believe everything they hear or read and when it comes to the climate I was once one of them. When it comes to climate which is a very complex system to say the science is settled (only human caused) is a myth as there are many climate scientists out there that do not agree with the above but they get drowned out by the UN rhetoric, all I am saying is read up on this very very expensive direction we are moving too.

  11. The way science and engineering arrives at a conclusion is to provide proof that the hypothesis is true.
    1. Correlation is not necessarily causation.
    2. There are changes that occurred (covid lockdown for example) that may have reduced emissions. What effect did it have on the climate/global temps? Was there any effect?
What metrics will be evaluated that will show the move to all electric vehicles (for ex) actually reduced ‘warming’ or ‘climate change’. What if there is no effect?
Science/engineering is not just about making changes to make everyone “feel good”. It’s not about emotions.

  12. More Bullshit ! Difficult to believe this man is ANY kind of Real scientist.
Climate change is Due to the variability of the Sun and Malkinovitch cycles. Exactly as it has been for Untold millions of years.

Sea level rise is another totally invented Myth. ..Bullshit .. To be blunt…as Seal level Rise has been in the fractions of an Inch /year for the last 100Years.. (documented)
Polar caps are NOT melting NASA imagery shows Record levels if Ice.
Co2 Has Very small effect on 'global warming High level moisture is FAR more relevant.
And even IF one dogmatically subscribes to the Co2 myth as cause.
Genuine … Science based analyses have indicated that even a 500% increase from current atmospheric Co2 levels ..will result in 1/3rd !! of a Degree C..over current levels.
    Dimishing returns basically.

We needs stop this Insane Cult fear mongering….. Ir serves Zero purpose.
NO cultist is willing (able ??) define EXACTLY what this Global catastrophy will actually be?
    Only vague uniformed nonsense claims.

  13. The last ice age ended around 12,000 years ago and so, by definition, the earth has been warming since. I am thankful for those early civilizations that drove their cars and warmed the planet up! 🙂 But on a serious note, the earth would be trending warmer even without us. We have found the remains of ancient forests under artic ice. The earth has been warmer before. But what are the real alternatives even if you believe the climate alarmists? Stop all oil today? Do people grasp what would happen? Farmers could not plant or harvest crops. Semi trucks could not deliver goods. The heavy equipment needed to mine the lithium for the batteries in electric cars could NOT be operated. All of the plastic derived from oil products to put in those cute little electric cars would not be available. We would be making batteries for the next 400 years in order to try and meet the demands we have now. Shutting off oil would literally stop much of society and kill billions of people from starvation. Solar and wind energy are interesting ideas, but have limitations. Covering the landscape with wind turbines will kill many birds and are generally an eye sore. Covering the landscape with solar panel in large numbers creates massive solar ovens and kills birds flying over them. And solar panels wear out after 25 or 30 years. They contain toxic substances like cadmium and we don't have a way to recycle them yet. California is throwing them onto landfills. And without a way to store the energy, then you only have energy when the sun shines or the wind blows. Sometimes you have neither.. Some places need to have reliable power sources 24x7x365, like hospitals. So we need better options than what we have now if the goal is to get off of oil and onto something better.

  14. If you believe all the fearmongering, you've got a duty to lead from the front Prof. Put your money where your mouth is and impoverish yourself. At least then I could say you are a man of integrity. Until then, we are all doing what you complain so much about – we are ALL doing NOTHING beyond idle talk. I'm happy with that because I don't share your fear of the future.

  15. The surreal thing is how few people have any idea what climate change actually means, or that the timescale of severe consequences has been drawing exponentially closer over the last couple decades. If I mention climate change in conversation, only one person of my acquaintance hears “catastrophic “ or “global societal collapse”. Everyone else hears a phrase from news sound bites that may have something to do with hot summers and cat 5 storms in the south of the U.S. Not much directly to do with them, however. They have no comment, because no thoughts, on climate change. They don’t know they’re probably living out the last decade of western plenty or continuity.

  16. We are moving quite fast toward a cost of living crisis. And all a cost of living crisis is, is an grand super overshoot situation coming to fruition, the payback phase, where we notice that we have used up the resources far beyond our ability to replace them and then there is a mad scramble for the bits and pieces left and we create a world we literally cannot live in.
