I have now come across a bunch of articles in which scientists are more or less explicitly advocating that we scare people into action on climate change. To me this is a step from information to manipulation. Let’s have a look.

No, you shouldn’t be terrified. You should be honest enough to discuss the actual data around CO2. When is the question going to be asked about how low can CO2 go before it’s a problem? Why don’t we talk about how we are coming out of the period with the lowest CO2 levels in the history of life on this planet according to “the science”? I’m gonna stretch out a little bit and say perhaps we’re lucky that CO2 is a byproduct of the evil fossil fuel industry. We are much closer to a CO2 shortage than we are the flaming globe that guys like Bill Nye want to scare kids with.
Since humanity is pursuing the wrong solution, humanity is doomed for extinction in a few hundreds of years. Meanwhile, be jolly!
@00:44 this trick was already used, very effectively, by the National Socialist German Workers' Party. "Exiting" to see where this climate indoctrination will lead to. Perhaps "camps-once-your-in-you-get-out-as-CO2" for the non-believers.
I don't really understand: the models have set the climate's Co2 sensitivity too high. It is clear that the forecasts do not fit if their sensitivity is reduced. But what's wrong with the models is unclear. Of course, other or new effects must contribute more then initially assumed, but this need not be something with more terrible dynamics. It is just not clear. Or do I miss something?
I spend a lot of my days thinking about solutions for climate change so I don’t gotta worry about my children’s grand children.

Just how well has it turned out when the public was scared by scientists about a certain new virus?
If scientists are publicly advocating manipulating the public with scare mongering, do you think their integrity in their research could be affecting for the same reason. Would they engage in cherry picking or social pressure against dissenting views?
It depends where you live. If your house is in a forested area you’d be worried. If you live on vulnerable coastal areas or river flood plains you’d be worried.
These seem to be areas that are already being affected.

I think that they're playing games with people's heads with it. Sabine Hossenfelder lives in germany. Based upon movies I know what germany gets cold. Living in germany and seeing that it's cold would it be unreasonable to expect it to possibly get 2 degrees colder and snow more in the future maybe as much as greenland to the north? yes. If you're not stupid, a rational person can imagine that as a possibility. What if you live in the desert, would a rational person consider the possibility of it getting hotter? yes. The opposite should also be true. The possibility of germany getting hotter would have been fine. What if you lived in florida next to the everglades or the Florida keys would it be rational to expect the possibility of your property being flooded in the future? Or what about the netherlands where they've been fighting the ocean for really long time? New Orleans with Katrina is the best example. They can see that they are literally way below sea level.
What if it was volcano, or a fault line? That's still geophysics. You think that is supposed to stay in the same place forever? Erosion is the same as tectonic activity. If there was no tectonic activity the whole earth would be covered in water. If there was no erosion there would be super tall pointy things everywhere. You have to check your own mind, and think deeply if you've been brainwashed by the climate change stuff, and if you are unreasonably shocked and alarmed. I'm more worried about Godzilla and Mothra coming out of the ocean.

Your optimism regarding human motivation is I suspect wishful humanism. The uncomfortable evidence of straight line increasing concentration of atmospheric CO2 shows we need a different strategy. That would be to put a real price on carbon.
