A new UN report on climate change singles out Asia as a region of particular concern. The report says that global temperatures hit record highs last year and that warming was happening at an especially rapid pace in Asia. Many Asian countries experienced their hottest year on record in 2023, along with extreme weather events including floods, heatwaves and fires. Monte Francis speaks to Dr Chloe Brimicombe, Climate Scientist and Heatwaves Researcher at the Wegener Centre, University of Graz.

There certainly needs to be much more done in human industrial processes. I have had the opportunity to spend some time in study. I think we can work things out. As the situation gets more dire, which it will, people will respond more financially. I have a genuine processing plant in mind, very economical. Ultimately a small solution to a small percentage of the problem. Chemical engineering is a great study. A few years in university can do a great deal. I could still use a few more.
not realy natural. while it supposed to be in a serious climate deteriorations, but the timing is wrong. if you want to relate what happen to natural cause. 3 nations i will mention : USA, britain and germany. these nations are VERY DESPOTIC in using their HAARP tech. and this is not a theory conspiracy. those people responsible themselves knew whta im talking about. and they will censor this comment most likely. this coincide closely to the growing tension recently in the korean peninsula. one way to distract things. but before in libya, that has caused massive casualties. somebody among those 3 nations i mentioned have no remorse.

Another climate article not mentioning the record rate of rise of temperatures and land sea and air and the dramatically accelerating sea level rises after 30 years of pledges to dent it ..go figure that in fact we are just another species that will max out on resources with no regard to consequences . No one is even saying there is zero chance of sticking to a 2 deg av global temp rise and still saying 1,5 is a thing !!
Capitalists moving heavy industry and manufacturing to the hottest regions in the world during the 1990's was a big big mistake. That kicked of the scenarios we see today.
Don't look up.
The biggest threat is overpopulation, which makes countries much less resilient to climate change, water and food shortages, etc.

Most nuclear power plants (3800) are built near sea level; It won't be the climate change that changes everything.
