  1. Anyone can simply say April 2024 is hottest on record. Hottest on record according to who? The fact that no sources are provided that back up the statement is very telling. Obviously if they had documented scientific data they would provide it. In fact there is absolutely no doubt that there are many very credible scientists as well as scientific organizations that disagree that April 2024 is hottest on record. There are many different methods for determining weather or not any one month is the hottest. In fact each different method reaches a different conclusion. Obviously the people in this video simply picked the report that provided the result they wanted to support their alarmist propaganda. They do not even state that there is only about 40 years of reliable temperature records to compare to. So at best April may be the hottest in 40 years. And 40 years is a very short time. It is very likely that there have been many hotter months in the past 200 years Etc.
The fact is that hottest in just 40 years does not mean anything!

  2. Stiop. No "new normal" here. It is only one year at the time where we are rapidly warming our planet.

There is no "new normal". Because normal means that we would have a new conditions that remains. There is no signs that current warming stops here. And even less signs that weather stabilizes.

Get rid of thinking "new normal" and understand that we are heading to worse and worse climate with ever stronger extreme events.

  3. Many wars are climate driven. Losig water is one of the drivers in many wars, even in Gaza war water rights are one of the things in the background. Or lack of food and water drives local conflicts, where people has choice to join warlords armies or just die without resources.

And for economy current climate driven catastrophies tooks trillions of dollars. And the damages are risng rapidly. To even 40 trillion dollars (comparable to whole USA gdp) and rising.

Next housing crisis is most likely driven by climate impacts. No insurances in most hit places, means cash buys only. And lessening prices. And more likely damages to the houses. And when this goes on, it devastates even global economy.

Losing mountain glaciers means less fresh water to the region. That leads to problems in farming and industry. Also all people in the region will become poorer due to rising prices and due to time spend on handling the lack of water. And when a region becomes poorer by this way, the surrounding areas cannot sell their products, and so on, lessening the total size of economy and wealth.

One example what climate extremes do was a Thailand flood that destroyed hard drive manufacturing plant. There was only 2 of those plants in the world, so losing half of the manufacturing made large shocks on entire computer industry that lasted a year or so.

So wars and economy has huge hits from climate driven extreme events and situation is worsening rapidly.

  4. Great and informative until he starts talking bs about stopping emissions now would halt rising temperatures. Theres already way more "global warming in the pipeline" (great paper from oxford climate scientist James Hansen). Plus weve most likely triggered several tipping points and negative self reinforcing feedbackloops like thawing perma frost, forest fires etc.
