‘Net zero migration’ until all Australians ‘have a roof over their head’: Pauline Hanson

One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson says the Coalition’s budget reply regarding migration was important so that all Australians “have a roof over their head”.
This comes amid Opposition leader Peter Dutton’s budget reply in which he announced he wants to cut down Migration by 25 per cent, put a two-year ban on foreign buyers and limiting international students.
“We’ve had a million people come into this country under the Labor party,” Ms Hanson told Sky News Australia.
“We see the problems that we have – congestion on roads, there’s 650,000 houses that we need now at the moment.
Ms Hanson said Peter Dutton’s “basically net-zero immigration” policy should be employed until all Australian’s “have a roof over their head”.

Does net zero immigration mean NO immigration? I don't think so. Doesn't it mean having a situation where the number of people arriving in the country on non-tourist visas is equivalent to the number who are leaving the country on non-tourist visas? And the relevant flow of people ONLY qualifies for the net zero classification if the latter is fulfilled. How many of the current deluge of new arrivals are leaving? Probably very few… if any. Just another sleight of hand, numbers fiddling nonsense on par with the other Big Australia cons such as the mythical skills shortage. We don't want to "replace" the excess population with more excess population. We need as many of the new arrivals as possible to leave a.s.a.p. The way it is, the only ones who will be leaving will be Australians including our brightest graduates…who can't find anywhere to live !!

We need a referendum. Allow Australian taxpayers to decide on immigration, housing and other important issues. Labor has proven why a referendum is needed.

No current political party in Australia can rescue our nation. Even more reason why the time has come to assess if our current form of democracy is suitable to carry us forward into the next century. After world war ll a new world order was formed and the powerful ideologies were Democracy (the west which includes Australia) and Communism (in the east, soviets, china, east germany and eventually North Korea and Vietnam later on). In the west the middle class boomed and wealth was created all until there were several events that caused for western governments to print more and gradually devalue their currencies. Most of this happened in this century with 9/11, GFC and now the pandemic and with each event debt was pushed forward to the next generation. Here in Australia we now have over a trillion dollars of debt which something we have not seen in any Australians life time. The struggle is that every government right from the Hawke, to Keating to Howard right up ScoMo (which was the worst) to now with Albo, they have all propped up the property market as it was one of our biggest (with mining right up there). This has inflated property way above where it should have likely been. Why? Because of government interventions. Negative gearing, 50% reduction in CGT (which was probably the worst), first home buyer grants, and now some new ones that they are planning like shared ownership with the government and allowing you to dig into your super to allow you to get a home deposit. I say dismantle all of these stupid incentives – allow a reset. Now back to our ideology. We need a new one, not dehumanising ideologies like communism or fascism, one were politicians are abolished and the government is the people and run by the people. I say we punt the politicians.
I totally agree with Pauline H. But sadly it would never happen.. This government is too greedy, all they want to do is keep housing demand as high as possible for obvious reasons.
