Ever looked at satellite images of the Mississippi River, the hundreds of lakes that are to each side of it from the river changing it's course? When has it changed course and made new lakes? It has already been reported that the weather monitoring stations are not in compliance with the standards. They are putting the weather stations too close to paved parking lots and too close to highway overpasses. This is causing the average temperature to be overstated.
