Menzies Research Centre Executive Director Nick Cater says European voters are saying “no” to net zero and “yes” to tighter immigration.
Journalist Alan Kohler wrote a piece in the New Daily urging households to “switch their gas appliances to electric” if Australia wants to reach its net zero emissions targets.
“The electricity bills are going through the roof in countries like Germany and Ireland,” Mr Cater told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“This whole thing is just collapsing very quickly in Europe.”
