Sky News host Chris Kenny says the media and Australian politicians are pushing the “idiotic” climate target for 2030 over Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s 2050 nuclear net zero target.
“The climate and energy debate is already idiotic … Labor, the Greens and the Teals and most of the media they want to make the debate all about what Australia’s emissions reduction target will be for 2030,” Mr Kenny said.
“That is just six years from now, Labor has promised to cut emissions by 43 per cent by 2030 … Peter Dutton said he wouldn’t bother with that target any longer.”

Unfortunate as it might seem, most Australians wont go for large scale nuclear. They don't want a bar of it. One can argue until the cows come home, but it aint going to happen, despite it potentially offering some benefits.
