Karnataka MLA Priyank Kharge criticized the central government following the cancellation of UGC-NET, emphasizing the issue of exam paper leaks, a key election issue highlighted in his party’s manifesto. “The BJP mocked us, claiming it wasn’t an issue. Now, more than 2.5 million NEET candidates are left in limbo due to a paper leak,” Kharge stated. He pointed out the government’s acknowledgment of misappropriations in the NET, noting that four individuals had been arrested in Bihar. “Lakhs of students are protesting in the streets. The Prime Minister is keen on ‘Pariksha pe Charcha,’ so why has he gone silent now?” Kharge questioned, urging for a discussion on the matter.
