Crypto, AI, and Data centers use a tremendous amount of energy. All of these are contributing to the abrupt exponential climate change we are now experiencing. For this reason alone Crypto and AI should be banned.

Do you people honestly believe that a cloud stops solar panels from working? They may produce somewhat less, with that dropping the thicker darker the cloud. But the idea that a cloud stops all production is ludicrous.

Maybe you should ask if we really need AI this badly? Could we maybe do something else with this energy?
I'm not against the idea of water cooling these AI systems.. But I am against the idea of allowing that water to evaporate in open ponds. Water cooling systems should be closed loops, and run through closed radiative cooling systems, to ensure it's not being "used up".
