
Climate change is creating more severe weather, and most building aren’t equipped to handle those threats. Engineers at the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety use advanced technology to mimic extreme weather events, testing everything from garage doors to roofing materials. Their hope is to update building codes across the country to prepare for the escalating risks of hurricanes, heavy rain and wildfires.
