As a flagship initiative of the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Association (ABU), the event culminates as a crucial platform for fostering cooperation and dialogue among key stakeholders in climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
With the theme “Media Saves Lives”, this year’s summit will highlight the vital role of the media in mitigating the impacts of climate-related disasters. With climate change exacerbating the frequency and intensity of extreme weather disasters, there is an urgent need to improve early warning capabilities and improve disaster preparedness in the Asia Pacific.
