The federal government is pushing the Australian economy into “net zero madness” despite new figures showing cuts to greenhouse gases have been flatlining, according to Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“We’re completely going down a dead end,” he said.
“An economic cul-de-sac which will cost us a fortune and which will never do anything that they say it will do.”
Mr Dean’s remarks come after new figures released by Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen revealed cuts to greenhouse gases have been flatlining over recent years.
In the year to March, 2.7 million fewer tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions were recorded than the year before – a 0.6 per cent decrease.

One of the problems with electric vehicles is the batteries are prone to cause fires which are both toxic for the environment and difficult to put out. This is not going to be a solution. More public transport may go part way to solving the transport issue. When all is said and done we keep being fed BS.
