She looks more like a Vietnamese than a Taiwanese. LOL
The Asian countries are leading the way when it comes to fighting climate change.. but many North Americans are too proud to admit it.
And where does the power come to charge these vehicles ? Having to charge the ev 2x / day is insane ! Batteries have no range .
In India, many city municipal corporations are replacing diesel public transport buses by electric one…My state Maharashtra is leading & floated tender for 5150 e buses…The travel experience is far better compared to diesel bus & public response is excellent….In next 1 decade , India will have minimum 1 million e buses..other evs are also increasing very rapidly….Best part is India is developing entire eco system , means power for charging is either solar , Hydro , pumped stroage units…So less pollution in electricity generation…
Green energy is good energy.
Taiwanese will buy EV from China?
It's kind of surprising that the company didn't have a better plan to keep their fleet charged. A 3 hour wait to access a charging port is a lot of lost revenue for such a capital-intensive industry.

Hey you guys know that Vietnam is a Communist country right?
here in nepalđŗđĩmarket share of EV is 70%.

Unless they switch gas powered motorbikes to EV, the country still faces serious pollution let alone a few EV taxis owned by their EV maker, Vinfast. EV taxis is the way to dispose of their unsold EVs in Vietnam and other markets
The little 50CC bike emits more pollution than any large size car in the west. That was the reason CA has outlawed small gas lawn mowers, trimmers in their state. The health of Vietnamese people in big city like Hanoi, Saigon ,âĻ could benefit immediately if these gas motorbikes disappear from their streets
Also, you cannot wave for taxi now, you have to have a phone to call a taxi but itâs SUPER FAST!â¤
I dont know why a modern country like Taiwan has too many motorbike like Viet Nam and South East Asia. Taiwan weather very cold in winter and typhons, earthquake not suitable for motorbike. Taiwan should be like Singapore metro and riding bicycle to keep warm
China and Vietnam, the 2 countries lead by communist parties, become the pioneer of environment protection. Hmmm.
I like this reporter đ

If it's a Vinfast, it would not be a very bright future. It's one of the worst rated EV vehicle in the USA. Relying on A/C would diminish it's range in half, poor electrified chargers only means it is a disaster
Very interesting news and the charming reporter.

In fact, GSM taxis are growing very fast. They entered the market late but have already climbed to 2nd or 3rd place in terms of market share in the country. In terms of the number of charging stations per capita, Vietnam is not inferior to any developed country!
Without adequate recharging infrastructure Evâs will fail in Viet Nam.
I prefer Battery Swapping Network like Gogoro. But the battery weight have to be very light. It will save much time for consumers.
Subsidized car maker… Subsidized electricity prices… What a joke! Doesn't sound to me like a normal transition though business, but rather communism
There is a large gap in the assumption all these new electric taxis are using electricity generated by winds and solar panels. That is far from reality. The reality is VN is very short of electricity. Since all green-energy sources are operating at peak capacities to power the country's growing industrial manufacturing facilities. More electric taxis means that they have to operate more thermal generation plants running on coal, oil and natural gas. Those are deadly to the environment since they produce prodigious amounts of CO2, which in turn accelerate climate change. The link between new electric taxis and climate change is well understood by environmental experts but it's not up to them to stop green taxis.
good, next is to replace coal power plants, then hopefully find a way to fix the impact of mineral mining, maybe use sodium ion batteries. one step at a time

It's still not going to help with the climate when they keep chopping off all the trees in the city.
Vinfast cars are produced only for taxi use.personal purchase used very little.
10yr warranty – go vinfast
VinCrap NHTSA recently tested their VF8 and got 2 out of 5 stars for passenger crash test.
A company who failed in US and now turn them to taxi in Vietnam
Too many motorcycles keep most visitors from coming back. Vietnam government is still not able to keep motorcycles under control .
This GSM by Vinfast, VinGroup is a mafia-backed corp ..who robes from poor people and take corruption money ..and this article is a paid article
