Shocking Update: 35% of UK Firms Still Ignoring Net Zero Emissions
A recent study by the UK Business Climate Hub revealed that only 65% of UK businesses have a plan to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Among those, only half are measuring their carbon footprint. Key barriers to reaching net zero include regulatory uncertainty, inadequate infrastructure, and insufficient government and financial support. The IT and communications sector is leading in net zero commitments (68%), while the financial sector lags behind at 52%. The report highlights the need for better government support and stable policies to help businesses, especially smaller ones, transition effectively.
