India has committed to reach the net zero emission targets by 2070.
Think of the atmosphere like a laundry basket. If you keep adding dirty laundry into it without clearing it out, the basket will eventually overflow. Greenhouse gases released into the air work the same way. If we keep adding these gases into our atmosphere without removing them, it will eventually become so dirty that the planet will be in trouble.
This is what we’re seeing today. Because there’s too much carbon dioxide and methane and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, we have global warming and climate change.
We also look at the impact of Typhoon Yagi in SE Asia, and what the British rock band Massive Attack is doing to protect the environment.

'Tipping Point' is anti-Science voodoo with no basis in physics or mathematics, and Net Zero is where you step over dead bodies in the street on your way to work.
#act 1.5 NZ
2070 is way too late, and a good 40 years later than other countries! India already has the most polluted towns and cities in the world, how much worse do Indians want it to get?? The pollution in India already kills tens of thousands of people, that will only get worse, and of course changing climate patterns will affect agriculture, and India's creaking infrastructure will struggle to keep up.
I suppose one could look upon it as a form of population control!
You are trying to whitewash the polluters through the statement that GHG emissions are inevitable for our existence…. Don't blame the common man for the faults of polluters and industries. All polluting industries should be shut down. We don't need more cars & bikes, We need an effective and efficient public transport system. Why are petrol pumps mushrooming everywhere? Whose business is flourishing? Don't shed crocodile tears. Most of the government rules are doing more harm than good. For example the pollution certificate for vehicles. The owner of the vehicle is charged for the fault of the faulty engine & fuel, which are out of control of the vehicle owner.
