In a major speech, David Lammy pledged to put the climate emergency at the heart of Britain’s foreign policy, announcing plans to create a global clean air alliance.
He made the vow as death tolls continued to rise from flooding in central Europe, Southeast Asia and Nigeria. But where will the money come from?

Lammy deliberately overlooking the fact that terrorism and global insecurity is being driven by climate change across North Africa and Middle east – droughts and inter group violence is creating power vacuums that the extremist groups fill with terror, causing mass displacement. So the two are intertwined, terrorism is here and so is climate change. Does Lammy suppose that the global climate crisis can be solved ahead of Ukraine or Islamic state fuelled terrorism ? That the overwhelming climate crisis ( man caused or otherwise – climate is in a state of significant transition) can be solved as a prelude to economic decline and a state of increasing global insecurity ? Security first surely ? Is this a further prelude to 'reparations' for historic colonisation being paid as "climate mitigation" measures, or justifications for higher taxes ? Normal people around the world paying the costs of climate change and its mitigation while the elite will continue to exploit ? Private Jets ? Yachts anyone ? and all this talk of "Global south" A new word slipped into our lexicon in respect of inclusively and decolonised approaches , yet actually and firmly divides us into a North vs South or a Us and Them situation. The irony and lack of recognition of it is deeply disturbing.

The reason old people don't believe in global warming is because we have seen the kinda end of the world — rhetoric before.
In 1974 I was 14. They had us all biting our nails. The world as we knew it was soon coming to an end. By 1980 gas would be $5 a gallon (that's $25 to day). By 1990 the world ( yes world) would be totally out of oil and fossil fuel. It was taught in the schools, it was in the magazines and on the news. And they had their experts backing them up. So what happen. What happen was they got what the wanted. So what was it they wanted and why. First thing they wanted was to bring in a national speed limit of 55 miles per hour.
This was to conserve fuel wile they bought salt mines near New Orleans. The second thing was to fill them up with reserve oil.
So what are they wanting this time? New World order? Global domination? What ever it is once they get it, global warming will no longer be an issue. You can be sure there is warming. You can also be sure that experts are broke and some are still trying to pay off they're student loans. If you have enough money you can buy a study that not only says turds are tasty, but part of a balanced nutritional diet. Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. Maybe we should be looking into Milankovitch cycles.
I'm sure he traveled on his private jet just to make that speech!
