  1. You dont have the backbone n manpowerto built it n your u.s master will take you to kingdom come with their contract n you dont have local resources n manufacturing hub to built it worst the markup by those trudea dirty politician will blow up the price even higher then it can even start.everyone want their share first inorder for the project to begin.

  2. The timing of the pipeline is way off, like more than 10 years off. There was a huge demand 10 years ago in Asia and the geopolitical environment between China and Canada was much better. In those years, Canada could've exported all the crude to Asia and would've made tons of money! Not anymore!

  3. The American companies that have not converted to digesting light sweet crude will do so now. The oil from fracking in the Dakotas, Pennsylvania, Texas and Louisiana will supply domestic needs while gulf coast refineries can play the world markets for higher profits. The oil sands can compete on the world market but not the American Domestic one. The pipeline makes sense, the burueaucracy og the Trudeau government is so corrupt it has driven the prices up so high. The EV market and Edison domestic start up is suffering from the same problem.

  4. And they are committed to net zero. Well done Canada. I wish UK would invest in our oil and gas resources in the north Sea and fracking. We are hurting our poor by not investing in energy. Our energy costs are ridiculous.

  5. Most of the tankers that load up at Westridge are going to Washington state and California anyway. Only ten tankers went to China since May1 when it opened. The whole TMX pipeline is a fraud and a scam.

  6. Petrochemical demand is not decreasing, Canada can not produce enough for all the demand! Don't even get started on the demand for natural gas, in fact Trudeau refused to sell our natural gas to the leaders of Germany and Japan claiming there is no market for the resource costing Canada hundreds of billions in lost revenue over the next 10 years plus!

  7. Every conservative I spoke to back then wanted the pipeline and criticized Trudeau for not stepping in and doing something about it. Trudeau bought it. Then they lost their minds and criticized him for "interference". You can win with those people.

  8. Foreign interests were train wrecking any projects in Canada to get oil to tide water. Most likely the Americans that were buying Canadian oil at large discounts due to low pipeline capacity and over supply to American refiners that go ahead and refine and ship the Canadian oil globally for a premium. Many foreign funded NGOs had many(up to 15) pipeline projects to the coast shelved.

Now the pipeline is built for a huge benefit to Canada and some of the oil goes to US and some to Asia.

  9. How is there even this much oil still left in the ground, blows my mind. How lucky (or unlucky) were we to have this stuff to build our society around.
