This country achieving net zero is inconsequential in the bigger picture of things. Itâs meaningless all that will happen is that we will be exporting tens of thousands of jobs to the likes of China and India. Countries who are now building hundreds of coal powered power stations. To produce the cheap energy required to manufacture goods to fill the void because of the inevitable demise of our manufacturing industries due to excruciatingly high energy costs. All because of our dumb-arse politicians from both sides of the political spectrum incessant drive towards achieving the impossible and totally unobtainable Net Zero target in such a short period of time.
Net Zero is just a con a scam and an excuse for our politicians to raise taxes exponentially allowing them to boost their egos and look holier than thou at the annual WEF piss up in Davos, incidentally all paid for by the taxpayer.
Destroy industry & destroy agriculture for the sake of a pseudo-scientific cult that the rest of the world ignores. This can only lead to economic ruin and starvation.

As for energy, wind turbines are inefficient, and are subsidised. And the energy is expensive. It would make more sense to give businesses with flat roof buildings incentives to have solar panels on their buildings than destroying the countryside.
