  1. This is a well put together piece. However you’ve left out two significant elements of the discussion from the perspective of Evangelical theological positions. One is the issue of eschatology. If the world is in fact currently in the process of ending and will be destroyed the made new, what would be the point in addressing something like global climate change even if it is real. Two is the issue of dominion. This issue depends on interpretation and comes down to one verse: And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth” -Genesis 1:28 ESV. So what does this mean? Are we given dominion to exploit the resources of the earth as we see fit, as some Evangelicals have argued? Are we permitted to subdue the land and utilize all living things at our whim? Or do we take a Christ-like archetypal view? Should we wield our power in his image by being a servant, protector, and shepherd? I think you will find there are extremely polarized responses to these questions amongst Evangelicals.

  2. Trump called climate change a Hoax referred to Helene as a small storm in Florida. Ron Disantis took the word out of FL legislation. Trump threw toilet paper at Puerto Ricans after Maria when 3000 citizens died, he wanted to use nukes on hurricanes. I'm an Independent Florida native not buying what these politicians are selling.

  3. As usual Trump is wrong again about sea level rise. He said it will give you more beach front property however the exact opposite is true. Just give it a think. How can anyone with a brain vote for this man?

  4. I love how some in my family make fun of me for recycling and trying to change small habbits for our planets health but go to church on Sunday. How could you not care for Gods creation? Earth is more important than us and our superficial lives.

  5. 4:55 As a POC, if you willingly continue to follow a colonizer religion that was further corrupted by Europeans &⚪️Americans, you’ll unfortunately never be seen as equal ESPECIALLY when it comes to climate change🤷‍♂️

  6. At first, it was going to be a polar freeze. That didn’t happen then it turned to Global warming and now climate change. People there is a God who created this planted. Yes we humans need to take care of it absolutely. However we cannot control the climate. Only God can because he created it. Stop focusing on what we can’t control and focus on what we can control like practicing the teachings of Christ Jesus. Loving one another sincerely, loving God and seeing him as the ultimate ruler. Because every single one of us will die one day. The real question is where will we spend eternity. That’s more important than a climate and planet we will soon leave behind

  7. Wondering if evangelical's core belief in "sola fide" that faith alone is able to find salvation without doing any work plays into (a) rising popularity of evangelicals in US (b) providing religious cover to "do nothing" with the climate crisis.
