  1. 🤔Hmm, maybe that's why the push to return illegal migrants to France has been "half-hearted" by the government since the UK is so dependent on the import of electricity from France … 🤔

  2. The energy policy is madness, wind is intermittent and the government had to increase the subsidies to wind by 65% to get any companies to bid. The subsidies will be added to your utility bills. Our manufacturing is being shipped overseas along with our carbon emissions. Given the negligible carbon contribution less than 1% the UK pumps out. The net zero day will in UK will not make any difference to the climate. However, we will be colder, hungry and poorer by a lot.

  3. You could summarise this government in everything they do as far too soon and far too fast with far too little detail in the study, understanding or explanation. The real meaning of renewables is becoming clear as describing the renewal after the natural energy supply has been off in calm and sunlit periods when the lights and heating come back on. For people that are still alive that is which does not seem much of a concern to the government.

  4. Its as if everyone in power have been hypnotised by a mad cult, similar to the Stepford Housewives film. I watch what is going on with Net Zero madness with incredulity and walk around feeling permanently angry all day about what is going on and what these eco lunatics are trying to force us to do. It affects all of us, wait until you get your next car insurance renewal to find out the price is going through the roof as more and more of these smug EVs blight our roads and push up the cost for all.

  5. Oh, brilliant if we run out of electricity, then does that lead to load shedding, which they have had in South Africa 🇿🇦 here in the Uk. Does millipede have a brain. This is a totally economically illiterate bunch in government.

  6. They won't start any new nuclear plants because the construction period is longer than the term of a government. So they don't want the next 'lot' to get the credit!!!

  7. Typical Wind turbine and batteries is 15-20yrs, so everything needs replacing in this cycle, Nuclear can be twice as long.
    And
England, in particular of the UK countries is rather short of land, so that means offshore wind, massive 15MW machines and hundreds of them: 100 x 15 being 1500MW nameplate, with 40% annual availability 600MW. Typical combined cycle gas/steam turbine is 650MM nameplate with 90% availability say so 580MW or about the same as the 100no 15MW offshore turbines. By inspection which seems cheaper to build? Gas turbines need replacement of internal bundles too, but easier to achieve in a turbine hall on a small number of units.

  8. My mum when she was alive needed oxygen to breathe and a oxygen mask to stay alive this was run by electric
what happens if there are black outs what happens to other disabled people who needs oxygen to breathe

  9.
