Former NSW Labor treasurer Michael Costa discusses whether Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will face backlash from his party after purchasing a 4.3 million cliffside Central Coast home.
“It is obviously significant and you will probably see the impact in the Newspoll but I don’t think it will make any difference to his leadership,” Mr Costa told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“I don’t think he will be under challenge the Rudd rules ensure he remains.
“In Albanese, you have the Peter Principle as a case study – he was at his high point when he was manager of opposition business, and everything beyond that is him rising to his level of incompetence.”

Many people in Australia do not vote in ways which represent their own best interests. That is the reason we have a housing and cost of living crisis. It has nothing to do with what Albo buys. Many people have a need to inflate their egos and it affects the way they vote. Self-perception is a problem we all have.
