Commission Along with the Department of Energy (DOE) are already slashing federal regulations through waivers of safety requirements on the nuclear waste containers.
Making taxpayers liable for accidents .from the nuclear waste and all medical responses, damage to water and land , property, injuries and illnesses. This is from transport of high-level nuclear Waste across the country as well as its storage. High level nuclear waste emits radiation 24/7 non stop. Insurance does not cover nuclear accidents.
What the utilities and DOE want to do is transfer ownership of the high level nuclear waste (which is a huge liability because the waste is unstable) onto taxpayers (us). The Investor owned utilities make the profits, taxpayers pay the costs. The DOE and the nuclear industry as well as the contractors are already offering up land in the state ofNew Mexico for storage to European countries because their people do not want to store their own high level nuclear waste. Then they will make more nuclear waste.
Project 2025 is a playbook of dictators- putler, orban, hitler, etc. It intends to create oligarchs dictatorship like RuZZia. They take everything they can for themselves, live luvish life and don't care about the rest. No checks and balances for them either. They take over all institutions, fill them with loyalists and everything is working only for them.

Nuclear reactor regulations do need to be changed as they smell like they were written by the fossil fuel industry and their proxies to cripple nuclear power; but I'm doubting the changes 2025 wants are the changes that are needed.

study. According to an independent audit conducted by the public
accounting firm of KPMG, the Nuclear Waste Fund holds $46 billion in
payments by utilities and their ratepayers, plus interest, for a permanent
waste disposal site for spent nuclear fuel and other nuclear waste.14 The

licensing process for Yucca Mountain as a permanent repository for spent
nuclear fuel is on hold. Without storage sites, spent nuclear fuel remains
temporarily stored at nuclear plants. In addition to permanent storage, low
