  1. I am not saying you're wrong Tom but you're showing a still image……Silva JUST got out of the way of Sah in the image you've shown, now….did Sah had enought time to get completely ready for what's coming after Silva's push on him(???) ( I'm thinking getting on the ball of his feet ready to react/jump to whatever direction the ball will take). We're taliking 10th of seconds here.Or less…But of course Arsenal would hardly ever score on corners if the refs were getting too picky in those scenarios.

  2. It’s Artetas fault we are mis treated unfairly by the English officials /FA Because he spoke out against the establishment . They cannot and will not have players / managers speak I’ll of them.

  3. As someone who watched the City vs Wolves game i think Gary has a huge point. There was points of fouls and yellows were quite unevenly given out. There was a free kick that was bizarre with Kovacic stopping Gomes from being able to run to the ball when the free kick was being taken. Even to an extent he rugby tackles the player and falling. Now blocking without the ball i dont think is allowed well to that extent but he does it and the wolves player bizarrely got booked? Weird. As well as the clear foul before the winner that wolves should have got at the other end of the pitch. I mean they are favoured for sure for years and its all the small decisions that arent too noticeable that then lead to them winning games.

  4. White had the benefit of the angle. Meaning he, at the very least, can force the player wide. The Chelsea player can only chase unless significantly faster than the attacker.

  5. The problem with the Saliba red is that they have made the rules to subjective, so there is no consistency. The Tosin challenge should have also been a red. Where do you draw the line as to what is too close and too far away from the covering defender for it to be a yellow, as the Chelsea covering player was further behind (but closer) ben white was nearly inline but further out… but both covering defenders had the possibility of getting back.

IMO if theyre going to do the last man back rule for a red then they have to do it for all, to keep the consistency.

    Both reds imo

  6. We need to stop moaning about decisions in my opinion, even outside of those games some of the performances this season have been well under expectations, with the injuries the squad looks thin, no where near the quality a squad needs to win major honours.

  7. I think we got a goal chalked off from xhaka similar to this two years ago but it was a legit goal because the where the ball went and I meant the city goal was legit

  8. A lot of Arsenal fans feel like the officials do the learning, so to speak, against their club. And then implement the learning for other clubs benefit. There will be a camp of officials that, if given another shot at the Saliba call, will say a yellow card is sufficient. But you can’t learn and implement at the same time. It is what it is, obviously.

On another note, I think there is something to be said about the side’s resilience. It is obviously there, but there is this creeping thing of ANY MISTAKE having outsized impact on the performance of the team. That could be an officiating-based impact or a mistake from the players. So: there is resilience across an entire match but maybe in the moments the team needs to do a better job.

  9. Gary O'neils words seem very well worded, its rite on the edge of criticism and is asking a question not actually accusing them so wouldnt be surprised if its less of a punishment than artetas Disgracia moment (though that was the one he got away with rite?)

But why isnt citys goal offside Tom? WHY?? 😉

  10. Great stuff Tom!! 👍 Very interesting to hear about the decisions going for & against the teams – is there a North / south devide, For / against??
I'd also love to see the stats on were the referees are from & who they support 🤔
