How did we end up here?
It all began with a year of full-time travel, embracing the van life until the world shifted, and we had to adjust accordingly. With travel no longer an option but determined to stay productive, we transformed our compact mobile abode into a self-sufficient off-grid dwelling that fulfilled all our needs. Recognizing the uncertainty of the current tiny home, we quickly realized a permanent residence was the most sensible choice! Over the past three years, we have meticulously overseen every aspect of the project ourselves, planning the construction while simultaneously setting up the off-grid property to sustain our future food requirements!

This isn’t the type of video we ever thought we’d have to sit down and film but we feel a lot better letting you all in on what’s really been going on. I’m sure that over the last year there have been times where things have felt disjointed or confusing so we hope this sheds some light on what’s been going on…we still can’t get over the fact that after everything we’ve dealt with, WE’RE the ones being sued! But as always, we're going to find that silver lining because in the end, it's alllll going to work out better than we could've imagined ❤

It's not easy, I know, but it's the right thing to do. Don't let people walk on you! So good on you for consulting an attorney. There's a saying: No good deed goes unpunished. Seems like the more honest and kind you are, the bigger target on you for the crooks. Hi guys! I wanted to tell you that my father worked for many years making fiberglass pools. And nowadays with the pools that are made of cement he covers them with fiberglass. It is the best solution you will have and it will last forever!
My goodness, it seems like this has happened repeatedly to you guys! You have had to go back and fix so many mistakes by contractors and other providers of this construction. I really hate it for y'all! You take it a lot better than I would. I admire that! Best of luck to you going forward!

You have been 'nice' long enough. Time to counter-sue. They have committed FRAUD by failing to deliver even a basically functional pool, let alone what they contractually promised. On top of that, they caused you both mental and physical suffering. They need to be shut down. Ask for a complete refund and damages. Punitive damages.

Such a shame to hear the latest news regarding your pool. But we believe you are doing the right thing by taking charge of the situation and repairing it yourself. At least you will know it will be done correctly this time. It's appalling the company's actions against you when they are responsible for refunding or correcting their big mistakes.

It seems that the company didn’t think through the business, social and reputational consequences of their apparently obdurate position. Your reach on social media is nothing to sniff at and neither is the willingness of your very loyal viewers to support and defend your position, it seems.
The name of that company will come public, eventually. Someone will make it his/her business to expose it and their business and reputation may well suffer significantly. The fact is that the remediation of their seemingly defective substandard installation will be on view, week after week, for all to see, may have more adverse effects for them than their lawsuit against you.
It’s not too much to hope that they may come to their senses and settle this before things become more contentious.

The fact that you both felt light once you accepted the situation and decided to move on and take control is something worth meditating on. Maybe this trouble you've been through has now settled an old score from a past life and you can all move on. It's great that you're focussing on the positives and also holding them accountable.
