Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says it is clear now Australians will not get the government-promised $275 power price reduction following the AEMO head’s admission.
The Australian Energy Market Operator head Daniel Westerman has said he cannot guarantee the current government policies will deliver lower power prices.
“He [Mr Westerman] and others, I believe, have allowed the impression to be established that somehow renewable energy is cheaper than other alternatives,” Mr Canavan told Sky News Australia.
“We know now that we’re not going to get the $275 power price reduction the government promised us.”

The good thing about technology is as it becomes more advanced and as an example coke for instant can produce more products cheaper and more efficiently.

They can increase their prices. Beyond anything reasonable.
A can of coke probably costs about half a cent to produce.
But woolworths and Coles at the front of every supermarket in Australia tells you that we give you a forty percent discount on a carton of coke and then changes you 28 dollars on special that should cost around 10 cents a can.

Read an article from the idiots at a site called Recharge, which thinks a 1GW gas power station has the same output as a 1GW battery store. It does for an hour. Then, the batteries have zero output because they will be flat. Gas will keep on generating. These are kinds of idiots who are determining government energy policy.
