  1. thats the plan in the NC hills that's all set to be a lithium strip mine so it will all be one property anyways. i can guarantee you the government will just pay the people a relocation fee for their land and condemn the buildings that are still standing.

  2. Some surveyors who have done work in that area have gps based coordinates as well as section corners and if you find some corners you can reconstruct to a good extent. And no one at the county office have anything to do with it and satellite imagery is inaccurate it's multiple photos messed together. It looks good but doesn't scale correctly. But she isn't half wrong. But mostly people who have done work recently they are the ones who are the best to do the job. I know this as a surveyor. In colorado we had some fires that came through and when they were cleaning the debris a lot of property corners were ripped out and they were calling out us surveyors who had done work out there within the last 10 years or so to reconstruct the lots.

  3. Even if we can determine where the property lines were but now the natural landscape topography is completely reshuffled. You can't just rebuild everything exactly the same. Roads that zigged now need to zag landlocking lots. Everything needs to be rezoned and so many webs of interrelated issues can take decades to resolve not years

  4. Is something wrong with you? Every stake is set and recorded WITH the geo coordinates.
This sounds like you want to steal land.
