As the population grows, the need for energy grows. So does the need for food, housing, and infra structure. The efficiency and reliability of battery storage over a long period are not proven. It's a money-making fad based on an expression of virtue.
It's the end of the world as we know it! One awaiting construction a few miles away (thanks to your link) and the thought of toxic gas and poison in the water – just an accident (hah!) waiting to happen. Evacuation into the 15 minute towns for the survivors. It's very sickening.

What's the point in putting electricity In expensive useless batteries when there's abundant natural gas. Which can be stored cheaply and safely. Just another money laundering cash cow at tax payers expense!
The Greed Agenda
An application for battery storage site was rejected in Telford and Wrekin because of 'land stability fears.' The problem is they're saying there are other more suitable sites, so no doubt they will persevere.
AT least once a week we need a hike vid Richard … if only a walk along a canal… to … get back to nature….
Most of this comes from local government’s citizens assembly’s and they use something called the Delphi technique, for the required outcome. Ie battery storage power plants, wind farms, solar panels and pylons on farm land.
