  1. Just like any decent business where its employees are tied to the success of the company in their incomes and profit sharing, so MUST politicians have their income largely determined by their policy success long term. Their salaries should be dropped by 75%, with their income largely determined by how well their policies helps improve Productivity/Capita, distributed over a 4-10 year time horizon. In other words their rewards come AFTER their initial 4-year term.

  2. It's not just the actuaries who will be paying attention to this, the loss adjusters will be too. Just look at all the get out clauses they've already implied in that article. Walked away whilst charging? You weren't paying attention – claim denied. Didn't have a smoke detector fitted in your garage where it was charging? That's negligent – claim denied. And who knows what else they'll dream up to avoid paying out. That's literally why loss adjusters are employed, to find reasons to reject/reduce claims.

  3. Four more Darwin awards for young people who drive like they're playing a video game. The more Teslas I see on the road, the more I"m convinced based on their bad driving behavior that these high powered golf carts are magnets for stupid, overly self-confident people.

  4. Thank you SImon. However somewhat sad that you bluntly attack Elon Musk who demonstrates how efficient a business can be and how corrupt and embezzling are most of current entities, both governmental and commercial. Tesla as a startup is awesome. If they have problems, competition should have stepped in, but it does not because of corrupt CEOs and govt administrators alike.

  5. It should be mandatory that all new cars have normal door handles, like they have always been in the past, that are simple to open when there is no power to the car. These flush stupid electronic door handles are ridiculous and its going to kill more people in the future if the car manufacturers continue to use them.

  6. As regards the UK EV targets, you are probably right (I’ve not bothered to check up but it sounds about right). Britain, a little pimple on the face of Planet Earth, wants to lead the way and show the rest of the world how to do it. As if the rest of the world cares. While knocking Socialist policies though, do not forget Boris Johnson, that Conservative stalwart of British truth and justice, was the one who advanced the End Game date of new petrol and diesel cars here from 2035 to 2030. And once he was out, Sunak pushed it back again. SO FAR at least, Labour hasn’t changed the date. So it’s a policy introduced by the Tories.

  7. In the EU, they have the new Nanny Control regulations since July 2024. So all new cars must have driving aids. It is a disaster. Only the expensive cars have good systems. It is so bad, that the EU is blaming Russia for hacking cars 🤣🤣🤣 The cars are doing emergency breaking for no reason etc.

  8. Hello Simon I usually don't comment on the videos I watched but in this case I just want to say ignore the evangelist you can't reason with them I met a few and I learnt l'm better off arguing with an brick wall. Keep up the good work don't let the evangelist keep you down. P.S Petrol and Diesel for life.
