We ( or should I say the US) had the opportunity at the end of the Cold War ( Gorbachev/ Yeltsin era) to forge ties with Russia and become a strategic partner. The ills of the past left behind and the benefit of a strong friendship could’ve been recognised and formed. But the figureheads at the time wanted none of it! What a bad bad decision and one that has backfired so badly in our faces! It’s too late now and we are ready starting to reap the rewards of being stubbornly back minded and corrupt! If only most’ve the Wests thinking was not so deluded we wouldn’t be in the shit we are so now deeply imbedded in!
Sounds a lot like setting the stage for 1984 with massive superstates being constantly at war in a neverending stalemate. I am a Canadian living in Latin America and I can tell you that the world is viewed very differently outside "the West". People are a lot happier and are exited about the prospects for the future as the hegemony comes to an end.

I am here in the US and it is lovely to watch you waking up and trying to sort all this insanity out so publicly. I am right there with you but am living in the US as a citizen vs looking in from the outside. During the plandemic I found John Campbell's podcast as was hooked instantly with his reporting, with data, about the plandemic. I watched him wake up too. Finding him led me to you and Russell wherein I gained a new understanding of how your part of the world views us over here.

Needless to say it is life changing as it forces one to re-evaluate everything they once thought was certain only to find out it wasn't; so.
I find the similarities almost identical. One focused on family, the other nationally and on the world. The impact of the second being overwhelmingly more traumatic yet that is the world I feel like we are living in at the moment.
Who can you trust if you can't trust your spouse? Who can you trust when you find out how your country and the politicians you voted into office and whose salary your hard earned money pay are not who they present themselves to be and are working for God only knows who? Family income going to adulterous relationships outside of ones sacred home while the family suffers. Nation's money going to foreign countries while its citizens are left high and dry….

This is an excellent summary evaluation of current world events.
I am afraid of what the Elites running the US Empire will do in an effort to maintain its current hegemony over much of the world.

This wouldn't be the first time "they" did this to Russia. The same group did this in 1917 in Russia, backed by their cousins in New York and London bank, they looted Russia and killed it's people. They have a particular hatred for Slavic people.
A few years ago I watched a Putin interview (translated) where he explained what he was doing with BRICS. He talked about how dangerous American hegemony is, and his intent with BRICS was not to destroy anyone or anything else, but to balance out the very dangerous state of American dominance. In other words, he was not about beating America but about matching America so America is less dangerous to all of us.
