The climate refugees of the resilient Satabhaya community in Odisha’s Bagapatia, suffer yet another blow due to Cyclone Dana. The severe cyclonic storm caused incessant rain and waterlogging in their resettlement colony. Satabhaya panchayat in Rajnagar block was once a cluster of seven villages.
Six of its villages are now underwater due to coastal erosion since the 1970s.
