I don't allow EV's on my property.
You have to break a few eggs to make a carbon neutral omelet. The thick get thicker it's like they are hypnotised
In all fairness the fuse panel of my vw caught fire and thats on top of the fuel tank…..but it went out when I pulled the car over. Insulation had peeled off wire.
Was Mercedes set up to fall, to make sure the batteries go up in flames? To put them out of the Market, forever?
Wasn't the bike guranted range of driving it not overestimated? ?
…and we are paying higher insurance costs to cover this shit!
I can see insurance companies stop insuring all electric vehicles. Or the premiums will be so high, EV owners won't be able to afford it.
Probably had the same Farasis battery as the Mercedes EV that caught on fire in South Korea.
I'm scared of Milk Floats, I won't even park near one, I certainly wouldn't put one near my house or in my garage
Battery fires are becoming too big to rig it would seem even for the woke media.
Many Mercedes EQA 's are built in China. Says it all! Mercedes Benz "The best or nothing". Yeah right. I would NEVER buy a Chinese built car or ANY EV for that matter — EVER!!!!
What about people who have these Battery Storage Systems bolted to or inside their house to store power from solar panels..a lot made from recycled EV batteries, how safe are they..
Golly, a LATE MODEL car goin Mt Vesuvius, who da thunk it?
Hazard a guess the Euro EVs are using chinese made batteries. Toyota EV is a BYD and Tesla now using BYD batteries.
Just drove home from work in my 27 year old 5-series BMW (E39) and while on the autobahn I put the pedal to the metal and the car drove just as fast as it did 27 years ago. Without bursting into flames or stearing itself into other cars. 😆
Diesel Generator FTW!!!!!!!
Keep the combustion inside guys.
People don't like being told what to do, but they sure as hell do like voting away their responsibilities to Government
It's only a matter of time……………………
I'm waiting for the day the CFA order EV bans on total fire ban days 😂
My 1968 Ford Falcon sat for 22 years in my shed and didn't catch fire , and now is driving again .
Kinda sounds like “quality” doesn’t matter, so why wouldn’t one just buy the cheapest? If a £150k saloon is just a likely to self-immolate as a £15k one, buy the cheaper, and park it away from the house.
I'm excited for not having an EV, I was thinking of buying one too.
Some experts attribute the incident to the use of poor quality Chinese-made battery cells. However, it is important to note that this is just one possible explanation. Charging 100-170 kW DC fast charging (10-80% in 30 minutes) I suspect uneven ion distribution can create stress on the battery's internal components, such as the separator and electrodes. These type of stresses may well lead to the demise and practicality of EVs vs ICE.
Or a hybrid, resale values are staggeringly bad claimed range, fantasy..see Geoff buys cars latest.
10k for a replacement hybrid battery….ff's
EV fires are not good but search the news for petrol, diesel and gas fires you will see they are even more common.
The EV agenda is going exactly to plan. Too expensive to buy. Too much depreciation if you do buy one. Too scary to own with the potential for fires. Totally reliant upon electricity to charge. A commodity that will not be available in sufficient supply when the farts and sunbeams disappear. Couple that with the appalling condition of the roads. If that's not enough, ban the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles. End result, people are kept at home and don't travel anywhere. Mission complete. Government do not care about the motor industry. They want it to fail. They don't want us in any vehicle.
Thanks for pointing out the insanity. I'm convinced these arbitrary dates will be pushed back, they'll have to or we'll all be bankrupt nations.
Its not if its when its a lottery
Next they will probably design a coal fired generator for EV supply ? [ like the old power stations ] !!
EV
Merc Makes EXPLODING Vehicles
Difficult to find any sympathy for these people, i will never have one of these things anywhere near my house and family, i always avoid these EVs when parking
Range anxiety
Resale anxiety
Runaway fire anxiety
Insurance anxiety
I told you so anxiety
Let me get this right. To own an EV you need to be able to park it near your house to charge it, and to own an EV you need somewhere away from your house to charge it in case it goes up in flames. Gotcha.
When will this ev madness end 🤦🏻😢😢
