Big tech companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Google are driving the nuclear revival, as to get new power-hungry data centers built in the US and Europe, they have to solve the problem of power generation. Their net zero pledges mean that the sources of power that they have pledged to use have to be low carbon, and they have already invested heavily in wind and solar, but their data centers still need a steady base load, so for big tech, investing in nuclear energy makes a lot of sense.

Patrick asserting dominance by refusing to blink.
I am sure that no part of private sector would every dream of taking economic shortcuts in regard to nuclear fission safety and there will be no issues storing the Nuclear Waste from all this increased production.
I mean it is not like that are serious issues with Sellafield in the UK………..
I’ve seen 3 different thumbnails for this video 😂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
you need to see the debate in Aus current opp party "nuclear will fix everything" with no actual costings, I am neutral on Nuclear but cost and how long it takes to build are the big points, esp. here in Aus with solar growing at a huge rate
The greenest energy is nuclear
The fact that progress in nuclear power plant construction was effectively halted due to less than a handful of accidents (that didn't even kill a large number of people compared to things like deaths from automobile accidents) is a great indicator of just how effectively dumb people can slow down progress.
Why did Microsoft AI fill the pools with Teslas? They aren't particularly good at filling volume…
Surprised copilot wasnt annoyed that you called it ChatGPT
☢️we are so back☢️
Some interesting facts here! About fusion: What VCs seem to completely ignore is the plasma focus device of LPP Fusion. They all go for the more mainstream concepts, that cost much more to build.
Why did the thumbnail change?
I'm glad we're bringing Nuclear power back, i just wish it wasn't because of fucking Generative AI bullshit
I'd like to know how a multi billion dollar few gigawatts power plant can ever be profitable
Danke Herr Boyle for in video sponsoring and mid rolls. Can you please send me the link to patreon and your merch store?
2:54 I love ya, but you make yourself sound dumb sometimes. A rackmount server is a rackmount server, which both dedicated datacenters and offices use. The consolidation into facilities specifically designed for hosting the servers is more logical for a power consumption savings, also, in the cloud, almost all hardware is shared and consolidated across multiple customers – offices don't generally share their on-site servers. You also no longer have to run racks of network gear to run all the cubicle computers, VoIP deskphones, printers, etc in offices. I bet just the reduction alone due to savings on printing wasn't negligible!
down with that sorta ting
that fish disco picture being AI-generated feels somehow ironic but definitely worth it 👌
Big Green won’t support nuclear because they fear losing donor support.
LATEST RESEARCH DOOMS AI AGi [general] which is what the tech Bros are absolutely desperate for – its 9 ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE further away in processing power than thought
And almost certainly will have to be Quantum computers. Consciousness is not at the neuron level in the brain but at the microtubule level, there are ~1 Billion microtubules in every neuron. You would literally need a Dyson sphere to power it
What a load of bullshit you can’t pollute then somehow using bullshit carbon credits to make things better
It’s all a scam
Nuc-u-lar. It's pronounced nuc-u-lar.
I need some financial advice please
would love to hear what the environmentalist are goint to say about this
Thanks for the update. I advise traders, especially newbies, to research the market before jumping in. I must say that trading has more benefits than just holding. Thanks to Martins Lennox for always keeping me updated. I am very glad I started with his program.
What will AI be in 10 years? Considering that's the expected timeframe of SMRs….doubt it will be enough
Calling Copilot ChatGPT is a real power move
So our Lizard overlords have green light newclear now? – they must be laughing in the backroom these petty oomans will jump on anything we say, next will say need more camels to solve sinking islands
I like to imagine that if nuclear truly booms (no pun intended..) that the new plants are properly built and administered.
Mismanaging and cutting corners with nuclear, to maximize profit, can have devastating consequences and "power going out" is the least of your concern.
Nuclear energy is literally the only truly scalable green power technology.
DO NOT CONFUSE THE COST OF ELECTRIC IN THE UK and the building of power stations i the UK with any fundamental issue – this is ALL as a result of the horrifically corrupt Conservative government over the last 14 years and in the 80's.
The electricity companies are allowed to rip consumers off and the Govt didnt want to build infrastructure so tied it up in red tape.
The new thumbnail is way better. Good job!
Eternal poverty for the developing world was always the dirty secret of the refrenables industry
With copytrading, you could be sipping coffee on a balcony overlooking a bustling city skyline or lounging on a pristine beach, all while your investments work for you. Picture the freedom to pursue your passions, travel the world, and create lasting memories with your loved ones, all because you took the initiative to harness the power of copytrading and build the life you've always dreamed of.
So glad to see Patrick covering the beef between the groups that prefer nuclear rap and those that prefer fusion rap.
we need nuclear, but i dont think they will follow regulations and standards, especially if they want to regulate themselves or have their own inspectors. nuclear with no oversight is a ticking time bomb
Letting average humans of average to questionable IQ make energy policy is borderline stupid. It has cost us decades in delays and hundreds of billions in red tape cost overruns.
It's about time we've come to realize this!
That olympic pool math seems to be very wrong. 16000 cubic yards = 3.2mill gallons?
Nuclear was always gonna be the answer for the short to medium term, bad things happen but as long as there is money to be made who cares.😂😮
With 85 wars in the world Nuclear Power Plants are too risk for our world. Please study the air plumes of every nuclear plant. Vegetation dead zones crossing state lines. Water contamination???
Corporation risk management analysis continues to be weak.
Correction: risky
As I have said forever, Go nuclear or Go Home.
Wrong RR logo, it isn't the car company
Finally some push back to policies pushed by a Swedish school dropout
And obviously, we'll have all these nuclear power plants managed and controlled by AI.
I heard two LLM fanantics on a Morgan Stanley podcast a few weeks back discussing the importance of siting server farms INSIDE nuclear power stations, presumably for demand and efficiency reasons.
It was clear none of these people had ever watched The Forbin Project
So big tech are governments now
Big tech must invest in micro reactors using thorium
