We need to know what not doing net zero would mean. Spoiler alert: NOTHING! It’s the most mindless legislation ever imposed.
Professor Bronowski said that when fanatical ideology dominates science you end up washing the ashes of 6 million innocent people into a drainage ditch. Follow the science, the facts, logic and feasibility and not the virtuosity brownie points. Recovering when net zero falls on its arse and energy assets and infrastructure have to be rebuilt will generate huge amounts of CO2 which the woke environmentalists say is bad. Debateable despite the axioms adopted as fact.
Net zero is just preindustrial society. With preindustrial standards of living and disposable income (or lack therof).

I got it to10 trillion easy.justpropertyupgradingwillbe £5.5 trillion. They haven’t even looked at increasing elecsupplies by 4 to provide replacement for 80% of our energy. Nor is there a solution to storage. When renewables don’t work for days on end. This alone is £30 trillion based on USA calculations of$350 trillion . We are talking madness here but many want to take us for billions before we realise we are going down the road to suicide and not spending on other essentials for our country. Just think of the world situation. None of it is even being looked at yet by over half the worlds population. Our govmt is crackers but we are the ones thatwill suffer and all due to a scam by Al Gore none of which has yet materialised.

The costs are unsustainable , their targets are unachievable , the subject is undebateable and the practices are totally unethical .
The real cost of "net zero" – no carbon emissions is the extinction of all life. At current levels of CO2 in the atmosphere (0.04%) – if this reduces to 0.02%, plant life begins to die off: what do humans need? Anyone with a few braincells can see the whole net zero is a complete farce.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we already had the infrastructure established for over 100 years that would power everything with a much more suitable, less expensive, stable, available and reliable fuel source which was also becoming cleaner by the decade, without having to waste trillions of dollars attempting to invent something that's never going to work, simply unneeded, dangerous, un-asked for and unwanted.
NetZero is a solution invented by Giant Corporations for a problem, invented by Giant Corporations, that will empty the jar marked ‘Environment’ into the coffers…….. of Giant Corporations.
Utterly stupid idea, they won't even generate enough energy to pay for themselves.
The insane green & Net Zero subsidies are very damaging. Subsidies are meant to reduce the price of a product to the consumer. Tortilla`s are subsidised in some Latin American countries so that poor people have something to eat.
In 10 years the world spent 3.8 Trillion Dollars on renewable energy projects and the percentage of energy generated from Hydrocarbons has been reduced from 82% to 81%, and in that same time frame global demand for energy went up 30%.
Oh Dear! Wind and Solar Energy generation is around a tenth of burning fossil fuels to get electricity and battery storage is proven to be economic (which is why Texas is converting rapidly). The hydrogen economy won't take-off as it is very expensive to produce, transport and store, sustainably (you simply pour in a lot more energy than you get out). If you don't believe in human induced climate change then take a look at Spain (for example) in the last 24 hours and ponder why the flooding never used to happen!
