The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) has been a cornerstone in the country’s resilience against natural disasters. However, even the most prepared agencies can be caught off guard by unforeseen events.
The increasing frequency and intensity of disasters, due to climate change and other factors, have prompted a critical reassessment of existing protocols. ODPEM hosted a policy meeting with various stakeholders with that in mind.
