
When the laws changed in the Australian Captial Territory (home to the nation’s capital city, Canberra), some thought there would be an influx of people travelling there to use drugs.
Among those initially opposed to the laws were police, who were concerned the change could spur first-time drug use and see an increase in crime.
But ACT Chief Police Officer Scott Lee said “we haven’t seen a significant change in behaviour at all”.
