Sky News host Andrew Bolt has slammed Australia’s response to the COVID pandemic, calling it a “shame” to the country.
Mr Bolt’s remarks come after the COVID-19 response inquiry findings were handed down on Tuesday.
“This was far too gentle about a response which should shame this country,” Mr Bolt said.
“Our leaders overreacted, they spread fear, they smashed Australians with tough bans and massive overspending.
“This report should’ve named and shamed these politicians and experts responsible for this disaster.”

I lost one parent to suicide at the beginning of Covid as he lost his job due to not wanting to get vaccine. My mum then got the vaccine and boosters and her whole body blew up with a reaction and she got rushed to hospital where she died after having cardiac arrest and a stroke. That doesn’t even cover the restrictions around hospital visits and funerals & the heartache loosing them both during this time it has been for not just myself but our family and friends.
I lost my job due to not wanting to get vaccinated and my whole life got turned upside down…
The crazy thing is I’m not the only one with a story like this to tell over this time where our government had no compassion or respect for our human rights and freedom and totally has burnt the love I once had for my country and leadership.
I WILL NEVER TRUST THIS GOVERNMENT AGAIN AND NEITHER WILL OUR FAMILY & FRIENDS.
