Did you know that when our earth comes closer to the sun then the winter season comes on the earth or when our earth comes away from the sun then the summer season comes on the earth?This may sound counterintuitive but it is true. Actually, our Earth is tilted on its axis by 23.5 degrees or it revolves around the Sun at a speed of 30 kilometers per second.When our Earth comes near the Sun, it is called perihelion and at that time very little amount of sunlight comes on our earth.Due to which winter season comes on our eart and when our Earth moves away from the Sun, it is called aphelion and at that time most of the light emanating from the sun reaches the earth due to which summer season comes on our earth.
