  1. Pills will still leach into the water system. I thought that’s why police stations are doing medication take back programs across the country and then insinuating the meds.

  2. Pharmacies sometimes take pills like these. Call and ask if they do and where to drop them. Varies by region. Especially good to know when an older loved one passes away and you are left with a lot of medications.

  3. I love watching your videos. I recently went through surgery and they prescribed me oxy. Well. I ended up not wanting to use it because I don't like taking pills like that and my mom had a great idea of grinding it up and putting it into my dirty kitty litter to discard it. So that's what I did 🙂

  4. When I have to get rid of my sisters expired meds I melt them down and pour the contents into a big bag so kitty litter. Mix it up and to the landfill it goes. Needles go into old detergent bottles and taken to a drop off site. 2 times a year pharmacies here will allow drop off of meds for destruction.

  5. Nursing home i worked in, the nurses always asked for our coffee grinds, and they'd discard the pills in a container with the grinds. You can also use kitty litter.

It doesn't make sense to not want to contaminate the water, but it's ok to contaminate the soil, lol 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
