Thank you for your wisdom and talent to keep us moving forward!!! I was so impressed by the protest yesterday and just kept thinking how proud you are of them as well!!!! Its so helpful to see and hear the voices of other wise humans not accepting this power takeover of resources. The wifi was very sketchy to enlighten me to how easily the elite can suffocate our progress in the tech way, especially with Elon going full evil… one person rose up to the occasion that surprised me so much to who came from another country, not to take any away from the spectacularly creative chants and poignantly creative visuals of so many. The band played a hit that you just know in your soul will carry far to reach the sleepy spots of the soul.
Well, I live in the Pacific Northwest in the U.S. and apart from a few days of forest fire smoke every summer from peoples cigarettes, lightning or fireworks we don't see much climate change over here. It gets hot occasionally but not enough to really make people protest tom our government to stop us driving our cars. Because that's what it's gonna take, right? No more cars?

I grew up with a horrible anxiety disorder so my life has been at a disposition with the state of our current affairs for my entire life. I just graduated with my Masters in Engineering because I was holding out on some hope of technological salvation for this world but I found nothing. Not a drop of hope could have ever braced me for the cruel reality that there never was any. This acceptance of what's come has had paralyzing consequences and I see why otherwise rational people refuse to acknowledge the obvious facts. I now have ideas for how to at least give a fighting fucking chance, even when Earth starts looking like a fucking waste land. I just need the time, team work, and sadly the stupid superficial money, to get them out before it is too late :(. I just got out of college and I have half a decade to save the as many people as possible before the chaos sets in and we regress faster than I can catch anyone. If we start implementing systems now for what's coming, we are already better off than we ever were before. It wont be easy, but there is a pragmatic solution for after the end this game I feel that could get us and countless species through to the other side of the climate bunjie jump for the next couple of myriads. We will still lose so much, almost everything. But I feel like sending a message about how the survivors of societal collapse can be pragmatic about the ever expanding ecological collapse, would allow more people to wake up once hope, even if far off and after this life style, is put into our equation. I fully acknowledge it might not work or hold up for myriads, things go wrong. But no one can deny that being prepared for society to break down will give us more time to prepare for when the ecology completely breaks down soon after. I can see it giving us 100s of more years of a fighting chance until our grandchildren come across their next challenge to conquer. JUST like how we can make life boats through societal collapses, I have a pragmatic and scientific life boat idea through ecological collapse. Worth a shot to me and I'm going to dedicate my life to trying. More than happy to share the ideas if interested. And willing to take all the advice I can get.

Roger. Please tell the whole truth. Tell the young people about the Aerosol Masking Effect. Tell them about the many self-reinforcing feedback loops. Tell them what those two mean for the outcome here. Tell them we are already at 2C above the 1750 baseline and that any later baseline is fraudulent. Tell them to study the Arctic sea ice volume not the extent and of the methane clathrates – see Natalia Shokova. Tell them to go to Guy McPherson if you can't stomach telling the truth. If you won't tell the truth at least stop the pretence. You know all the above. If you have decided false hope is better than reality that is an enormous responsibility. I appreciate the dread reality and the harshness of integrating what that means. We look to our leaders for courage and truth. I wish you well.
