
ActNowFilm: Youth Climate Leaders as Agents of Change weaves together the insights of global climate experts with the narratives and actions of young people from across the world. Telling a story of impact and agency, it demonstrates the global and interconnected nature of the climate crisis. It highlights the imperative need for ambitious climate action and calls for the official integration of young people in climate negotiations.
The film will premiere on Saturday 16 November at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Participants in this year’s film include: Christiana Figueres, Professor Tim Lenton (University of Exeter), Bauro Lambourne, Professor Sonia Seneviratne (ETH Zurich), Marinel Ubaldo, Gernot Laganda (UN World Food Programme), Dawda Cham, Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim (Association of Fulani Women and Indigenous Peoples of Chad (AFPAT) and UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues), Nisreen Elsaim, Professor Harry Rutter (University of Bath), Alejandro Daly, Sabrina Guzman Skotnitsky, Jennifer Morris (The Nature Conservancy), Dorcas Wakio Mugo, President Mary Robinson (The Elders and Project Dandelion) and Mariana Gomes.
It is produced by Cambridge Zero (University of Cambridge) and the Institute for Policy Research (University of Bath).
