How is Climate Change impacting Pacific tuna?
Pacific Islands nations are stewards of the largest and most sustainably managed. But a warming Ocean is pushing tuna eastwards, beyond their Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs). By 2050, some countries could experience up to a 30% reduction in their tuna stocks.
New Zealand’s funding support for the Climate Intelligence System for Pacific Tuna is helping Pacific Island countries to get more accurate data to help understand how climate change is impacting the migration of tuna stocks
