4.Self-Reliance (Swadeshi):
i.Principle: Gandhi encouraged self-reliance, supporting local economies and self-sufficiency, especially through his advocacy for the Swadeshi movement, which promoted the use of locally-made goods.
ii.Relevance Today: In the context of economic globalization and climate change, self-reliance fosters resilience, especially in developing nations. Supporting local industries, sustainable farming, and community-based resources helps reduce dependency on large corporations, strengthens local economies, and decreases the carbon footprint.
5.Inclusivity and Equality (Sarvodaya):
iPrinciple: Sarvodaya, or "the welfare of all," was Gandhi’s vision for an inclusive society where the progress of one is linked to the well-being of all.
ii.Relevance Today: Global inequality remains a major issue, as social, racial, and economic divides persist.
