Talk’s Peter Cardwell is joined by political commentator Andy Williams and writer & broadcaster Candice Holdsworth for this segment of the Political Spar.
The trio analyse Labour’s recent budget to which Andy says ‘British economy won’t grow in a decade’ according to predictions made.
However, Candice adds that Chancellors who want to take “bold” actions are now stopped by the markets.
In addition to this, the Tory party leadership vote, stickers instead of sweets for kids on Halloween, taxes on milkshakes and more are discussed.

The only thing this circus is growing is contempt,
Ms Thieves should resign after this FUDget..?
Labour know they won't be here for long the idea they are investing in long term growth is for the birds. This is a puritan ideological Government too arrogant and detached to do the job properly and selflessly.
The sixth-form clown show continues. Liebour are done.
All compulsive liars They all need to resign Worst Party ever in history
Imagine how many extra £60k diversity officers can now be employed following the Starmer regime deciding to spaff billions on their beloved NHS. Those rainbow staircases won’t paint themselves!
Roger is that you?
You could see the ingenuity in her gestures, tone of voice, and her rhetoric. She used a lot of word play to confuse those who don't understand the complexities of economics (not that she herself does). IMO, she's going to try to screw us over even more in the next couple of years, as the original plan to do it this year had to be delayed due to the actual massive "black hole" the Labour Party has created in people's hearts inside 150 days!
Left wing ideology vs real world facts
Public services are CRUMBLING because they are run by complete idiots, who want things run by people with pink hair, plastic tits very low IQ, just look at the labour front bench.
Utterly despicable government.
Yes, public services are crumbling. The reason is bad management and inefficiency, not a shortage of money. There are too many people doing too little or nothing at all. Public services need root and branch reform, not more money.
Only growth will be growth of the public sector. If we are not very careful the public sector will be bigger than the private sector. The OBR are already concerned about ‘crowding out’. Thatcher managed to resolve this when she was in power. Read the economics of Bacon and Eltis which effectively she followed.Only way to sort an increase in the private sector growth
The middle young Uni Labour guy who still lives at home with Mummy and never had a proper job is clueless.
when did we have austerity? UK gov debt only ever went up
Keynesian wrong think in action.
I want to know how much car tax is going up in April on the working MSN and women
THE WHOLE IDEA WAS TO HIT SMALL EMPLOYERS WHICH ENCOURAGES GROWTH IN THE BIG COMPANY INDUSTRIES WHICH IS AGAIN RUN BY THE MOST POWERFUL AND RICHEST COMPANIES
This is not a budget for growth. Where is the growth meant to come from?
Services are crumbling under demand. We need less people. Theres been an influx of millions a year and majority have not provided anything
Who are these children?
The public are ruthless for voting this in
It will grow. But big capital investment projects pay off in the medium to long-term. The Tories focused on short-term make-do-and-mend. Long-term projects were shelved. And look where that got us.
They need to ring-fence all the separate budgets so that we all know where the money as gone.
Williams needs to look back at history. I can guarantee that this budget will not increase efficiency of public services or make them better.
If no one has any money to spend. There no growth simple.
They keep talking about "investing" more money never about reducing insane spending and the expansion of stupid government departments.
my supervisor was saying things to me like 'don't use this supervision as counselling' which just about encapsulates the side of health i was working in, no? jealousy has no place in the workplace, no??? i needed more boundaries and more psychological space??? i didn't want 2 b 'pinned' down?
What is it with these posh people …we know immigration is the problem with their DEI hires as chesp labour….more people less well the country does socialists and their dangerous ideology… more tax on thd farmers niw calling them tenants fs
11:34 Fireworks and bonfires under attack …our culture again sadsaq khan has to go or is this country working together they want us all to have our own ethnic area with community health WTF ARE THEY DOING sharia law Britain smh
14 years of Conservative government was better than 14 weeks of Labour.
When do MPs vote on a pay rise for themselves ?
Where is wealth from ADDING VALUE going to be created in this budget
You can throw all the money at the NHS and other public services, they'll always be Inefficient until you drain the swamp of the so called advisors and ministers for value for money, run the Country like a business not a student union game.
So Andy Williams thinks its ok for Reeves to gamble with the lives of Brits.
Far too many people on this island, mass deportations of Illegals and those whose visas have expired.
They are trying to move results well into the future, however even the simplest of people can see how taxing jobs is ridiculous when we need growth. Just stop netzero. As it is unachievable. 80% loss of energy by 2050 is not feasible as renewables the main source is intermittent so need backup. Only 40% max efficient for 15 to 20 years. Nuclear willlast 80 to 100 years. Not enough materials and what they have is abroad. The East will be enjoying cheap fossil fuel while we will be dark, cold, and poor with thousands of static turbines.
We keep adding more illegals and they dont have money they fucked up with brexit
No self respecting child will accept stickers, that is a guarantee to have your house egged. LEAVE nursery rhymes alone, they are historic and fun.
Andy Williams needs to go away and re-learn the definition of 'investment'
