  1. You got to look at the bigger picture, we have to start somewhere for New Britain. It's hard now but it will make it easier for the new generation that are coming in. Like it or not England will look very different going forward to what we are used to. It's just the way the world works.

  2. Legitimate business are going to suffer if the don't go under completely. It's always the easy trackable person who pays. It's going to be the rogue unqualified chancer cowboy cheap cheap fly by nite bodge merchant that is going to flourish. Slum landlords heaven.

  3. Fundamentally it appears the whole premise for this budget was based on an untruth regarding a 22billion shortfall. She should be sacked for lying to the whole nation,,,,this is not right.

  4. What a brilliant explantion of the utter mess Labour have made of it so far. I've never known such incompetence from a government. From day 1, this government have been a rudderless shambles led buy a compulsive liar.

  5. This is all nonsense though. Righties had their go and so many chances and they failed. Badly. Britain today is the opposite of what their policies were designed to create simply because their ideology is false. Be humble. Let’s try a different way and recover. Thanks all.

  6. Anyone with a modicum of common sense could see how Labour and this budget. Companies will just start cutting staff. I can see already that people are cutting back spending, work is quiet, and the construction industry i work in is slowing. Construction materials are currently expensive, and building both big companies and smaller extension projects on peoples houses are not happening.

  7. A tiny 1% tax rise on the multi-millionaires / billionaires would solve all our problems (probably- I've not done the sums) and they wouldn't even notice it.

  8. Given that the Labour Party have lied in the run up to the Election, we need a mechanism in place that allows for the public to call them out force another GE, this time a parties manifesto should be a legally binding contract between the party and the people with a caveat that should something outwith the control of government happen tweaks would be allowed.

  9. At what point are people going to say, no more!!! This country is place where you are punished for getting on. It looks to me like they want everyone on benefits. I wonder why…

  10. This is not a tax for workers. This is a tax for employers. If they can't manage a 1% increase then you were never going to get that 10% increase you might've been thinking of.
Lets say it's going to cost an additional £1k per employee and the business employs 20 people but has a profit of £200k a year. the business still makes £180k. Likely a business with 20 people is making much more than that too.

The tax we pay on inheritance as normal working people if we are lucky to have parents who own assets is 40% on anything above £325k and this has been the case for years. If you owned land however you'd pay no tax at all. The new tax rule is a 20% tax on land above the value of £1m and £2m if a house is on it. so a £3m farm with a house will only pay £200k and the kids get s £3m asset.

  11. I find it amusing watching all these keyboard warriors moaning and complaining about this, that and the other, WITHOUT proposing a solution. Not one of these clowns would be able to do any better.

  12. AT THE AGE OF 23 STARMER SPENT HIS SUMMER HOLIDAYS AT A COMMUNIST SUMMER CAMP IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA…. WHEN REEVES BECAME CHANCELLOR SHE REMOVED A PORTRAIT OF SIR NIGEL LAWSON AND REPLACED IT WITH A PICTURE OF THE WOMAN WHO FOUNDED THE ENGLISH  COMMUNIST PARTY FOR LADIES.. ELLEN WILKINSON

  13. You haven’t touched on the fact that the report didn’t support the claim of £22billion deficit. Proof that it was made up. The OBR mentioned £9.2billion deficit and we know that £9billion of it was labour paying doctors, train drivers and money owed to the unions.

  14. She says "she "didn't know

yet she was appointed to the post with a mammoth salary considerably higher than that of her boss – what was his reason fo approving such an appointment related to an unusually high salary?

  15. She did well ,she has straighten the books, she has tax the people who normally left alone, no doms the farmers business,it’s tough but they said it will be let’s see in 6 months to a year to see if it works,,

  16. Was out for my usual Friday night pint with my pensioner mates. We had a Tory, Reform and Labour presence. We had agreement that nothing in the budget would change our lifestyles including all of us losing the winter fuel allowance because we never used it for winter fuel anyway. The low paid will be getting a pay rise so that's good but it might results in redundancies and some small businesses having to 'shut up shop' and that wouldn't be good. The budget for growth isn't a budget for growth because that's what the experts said on newsnight. We also felt that growth or now growth was also unlikely to affect us. Just a few pensioners having a pint and a crack.

  17. Who fed her the script for the total collapse of the UK economy.
Do you think she come up with this on her own. Or is it possible they were planning this for years?
"You will own nothing,"… are you happy now?
Is it time for a complete reset?
