  1. EV's are fine, however, the country is high on electricity, if everyone bought an EV the households would be without ELECTRICITY, the country would lose 70% tax petrol/diesel sales what does that mean, electricity prices would go through the roof, EVERYONE would be taxed on electricity by around 70% to compensate the lose revenued by petrol/diesel…. means whether you own a car or not…your screwed….
Answer public transport… however IF cars petrol/diesel are to become obsolete by 2030 then so should ALL public transport, no IF's or buts, no relief because a train costs more than a car.!!! OR bus or TAXI they're ALL public transport and no V.A.T relief either…they get NOTHING towards the purchase prices, and ANOTHER public transport service should be airlines because that's a public service, eliminate EVERY plane that uses constable fuels, and i don't care about trade/tourism planes with battery power only can fly to Australia/New Zealand/America or vice/versa place their tax and V.A.T 2x with NO support..

  2. When will the government realise that electric cars AREN’T the way of the future. Countless other countries and massive car brands have already realised this a long time ago. No we’re just Gena have 50% of road users not taxing their cars because they don’t want to pay these stupid prices

  3. 15 minutes cities. If they were serious about net zero. Why not ban all commercial flights? Ban shipping? Ban the military. They all pollute more! And even if you do buy. A white goods EV. You will still be heavily taxes, anyway!

  4. Utopian dictates given down from ivory towers rarely work when confronted with the practicalities of every day life.

The EV mandate should be scrapped in favour of hybrid vehicles and alternative fuels

  5. Only a fool thinks all these measures are genuinely about ‘saving the planet’. All of this punishment being ramped up, starting under the Tories and made even worse under Lieber, is about THREE things 1) Power, control, removing individual agency and demoralising the populace into capitulation. 2) Money…Simply harvesting your wealth to pay for government agenda projects. 3) WEF mandate…Central Government doing the bidding of the global collectivism overlords. Fact: If the entire UK simply vanished overnight, the difference it would make to global CO2 is little over ONE PERCENT. So how much ‘world benefit’ do you think is gained by these hurtful measures which cripple our society, adding anxiety and misery to hard working people….Almost nothing…think about that!

  6. The more they push these battery trash… the more people will push back. EV's will just create another problem not fix a problem that essentially isn't there in the first place.
I'll give up my petrol when all countries give up their unnecessary military, which has to be one of the biggest pollution creators in the world.

  7. Good, yep, all for this as the environment has to come first, or do people think the mass flooding and deaths in Spain had nothing to do with the climate crisis! Of course, it did and it should be a wake-up call to why electric cars are needed!

Also, the Tories left the UK with £2.7 trillion pounds of debt! So, yes, money has to be raised somewhere!

  8. It's been proven that the carbon footprint to produce the electricity for EV's is higher on average than petrol and diesel cars. (Most electricity is produced by by burning carbon than green by a long way). This means this is just a money making exercise.

  9. No such thing as a zero emission vehicle, EV’s have to be charged by electricity often produced by the burning of natural gas
The fairest way to do ved(road tax) is via weight the heavier the vehicle the more damage I’d does to the environment & the road surfaces
