  1. The German finance minister has proposed rethinking investments in climate protection.
Money is tight – the economy is doing poorly – and VW is laying off workers on a large scale sry
The other car companies will follow. These Chinese EV – you know…..

Similarly, the whole of Europe will **'rethink investments in climate protection'** My culture is a bitch.

  2. Why is the Tonga volcano adding 10% more water vapour to the upper atmosphere not get mentioned more? I think it is a disservice if its not mentioned in 2023 and the media/govt's will use any lowering of the speed in warming, if it does come as that water vapour has less of an affect, as a win for what they haven't been doing.

  3. I think scientists are in retreat over the retreat of the thwaites glacier. I only find new process exploration since 2018, nothing about further grounding line moves, and stuff like 'even slow basal melting may lead to retreat'.
Probably the retreat was an adjustment aligned with the southward move of the ACC and collapse of the larsen shelves.

18:38 I think this '83%' heat stored by southern ocean is wrong. SO is much less efficient at subducting surface warm water into deep water storage than the amoc, so most of that heat will have to be radiated back to the atmosphere.

35:59 maybe methane oxidizing tech is more promising than co2 sequestration greenwashing. Seems like they should at least get some idea of how effective eg iron chloride would be. Especially since it is formed from iron in seawater, which there is almost zilch at this time. Ie dropping it in the atmosphere over ocean for cloud seeding would give a lot of mileage: cloud brightening, directly creating iron chloride for methane breakdown, ocean iron fertilization creating cloud generating dms, and finally iron chloride directly from the iron in the seawater

  4. I recently encountered someone who is really dangerous online and when i was looking at my recommended feed there was another article about climate change and i just didnt feel as scared or bad about it. A world where we didnt have the internet at least would be a better one to me, less technology the better, for every advancement we get more suffering in ways we've never seen before. Learning about this information and reading yuval noah hararis new book it can be overwhelming and depressing glad that you aren't incapacitated by everything you know

  5. Paul glad you're getting loss in the data as that will prepare you for another corporate-state fake global warming conference. GEE McFearSun sums up our situation nicely. The ESAS methane is accelerating out. The Aerosol Masking Effect is twice as bad as previously thought. There's 500 Zettajoules of extra heat in the oceans. Algae can store 100 gigatons of CO2 per year hence the future of life on Earth is algae one way or another. Have a nice conference.

  6. Just ceep your honesty intact, so you can keep the good work coming….. won't tever be enough you know. Lot's and lots of work for folks with your kind of spirit, in very near times to come, you know. Need all of humanity's best and most honest people in very near times to come you know. Keyword is how to feed ALL of humanity in an decent and equal way, you know
