Forget the classic roadster, Roadster 2 – Puffery / Eberhard Tarpenning Founder's Edition is great, I used to cut my commute time from 1 hour to 20 minutes of sleeping, the totally-legal totally safe rocket thrusters got me over traffic, but I quit my job and let it earn 6 figures while I sleep at home
BLOOMBERG 11/2/2024: Boeing is dismantling its Diversity , Equity and Inclusion department as part of a company overhaul.
I got panels on my roof, finally, yay. Now I'm just waiting for the power company to give the thumbs up.
I went through EnergySage and highlighted TE as the ES recommender.
I picked one of the highest rated installers near me, who also had a good quote; however buyer beware. Know what you specifically need beforehand. Even the 'good ones' are just as bad as used car salespeople. They tried to sell me a 40 400 watt panel system, turns out I needed less than half that to cover my entire energy needs*. They were not happy with me changing the plan and tried to charge me over a grand to change it. Things are working out well in the end, so I won't badmouth them directly, but I also won't boost them. There may also be some interference from the building department in my town, they seemingly don't like those big city installers working their town and slow-walked everything. Or so says the installer.
*New house, didn't have historical energy usage data. I work from home and have electric everything so I thought I'd use way more power than I do, which is why I went with their huge system at the start. It took so long to get the initial review/plan set up that I actually got data and found out how little I use and got them to change the plan.
I suspect there are going to be a great number of people seeking mental health services this time next week.
Cozy. I love my saturday ritual of Tea and TEN.
The progress made in transportation continues, it is good to see! I think it is likely we will still see much catastrophic climate disaster, just as the early climate change scientists predicted we would. Individual people can be incredibly kind and wise. People as whole though, not so much. I have struggled with anxiety about this for a quarter of a century now, and I think I am finally finding peace around it. It is important people are free to choose and learn better, or there will not be true learning and transformation. As CSN said: Find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground. Mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down. I keep working every day for transformation in myself and the people around me, and am working on letting go of my attachment to outcomes and results. Sometimes life gets worse before it gets better. Mother earth will take care of it.
However, she does not get a vote! VOTE my friends! OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT!
And know your work makes a difference, and changes the world, even if things go backwards for a time.
Thanks for all you do.
VW EVs are average but too expensive. the entry level versions might be only 5…10% too expensive, but the versions with more range and power are at least 15% too expensive, maybe even 20%.
looking for an affordable car, it would be ok, to have even halogen lights and other super cheap parts but saving a few k€ initially and maybe upgrade in 5 years. the core of the car should last 30 years.
Tesla can't do anything about the Nordschleife time of Xiaomi. Tesla while using a three motor configuration got slapped by Porsche with a two motor configuration. Porsche is developing a three motor version since many years now. I guess it is more or less already finished but maybe needs a final touch or the right integration in their platform strategy. You can't simply use it with the usual battery that might be limited to 500kW power when three motors can suck up 750kW or much more and also recuperate a huge amount of power into the battery.
Maybe 2025 they show it?
Thanks
“Male-identified buyers” and “female-identified buyers”? You mean male buyers and female buyers – there are only two genders. In psychology, there’s a reference called the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) in which gender dysphoria is included.
Ford shutting down F150 Lightning production is more about how their marketing department misjudged home many people can afford a $125,000 pickup truck. 16:16 'Entry' 19:27 Will Tesla's FSD v13 continue to run over motorcyclists in HOA lanes? 22:27 The Audi Q8 e-tron starts at $74,400.
Thanks!
23:32 Love to see 'Vair mentioned, even if as a typo 🙂
Musk only owns 13% of Tesla. He's a despicable man, but try to separate the idiot from the car. The Tesla Model Y is the best valued EV in the world. That's why I own one.
Nice 'Do Nikki!
Tesla's Model 3 has been stripped out of the STALKS……and that creates a pass-on issue that never existed before. Well done Elon !!!. Not having an engaged CEO has ensured that Tesla NOW has to reinvent itself. Well done Elon !!!.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
The closed captions are much improved this week. Numbers are spelled out, and sometimes not correct, and there are occasional omissions ("NoVo"? @ 15:40), but still . . . much better.
I can hope that re/cell will offer a retrofit battery for our aging 2012-14 RAV4 EVs, which use Tesla's 18650 cells but a different modules configuration, so Model S/X modules cannot be fit. While the market is small (~2600 were made, and perhaps somewhere north of half are probably still driving), if the engineering isn't too daunting, there may be a small market. Biggest problem isn't the small market, but the small value of the vehicles; they can be purchased for well under $10k now, so who would spend another $10k on a replacement battery? Maybe if the capacity is greater than the OEM's 41kwh (36kwh usable) . . . I can hope. I really like the old, un-aero body style.
California is closer to one quarter of car sales being EVs, although Im really glad that this is the case, claiming nearly one third of car sales are EVs is just wrong.
The large fall in used Model 3 prices is more likely due to numerous improvements on the refreshed model than to Elon's recent actions.
Electric ferries are an interesting trick. Many spend a good deal of each cycle loading and unloading which is also time they can be rapid charging
To pronounce Louisville like that is a hate crime.
Why is it all legacy auto electric cars have fake grills? Looks so dumb and can’t see how that does anything for efficiency. I think legacy auto makes their electric cars suck on purpose just so people will complain, so they can sell more ice vehicles because they actually know how to make money on those cars.
