Kemi Badenoch has won the Conservative Party leadership, defeating Robert Jenrick with 53,806 votes to his 41,388. The 44-year-old MP for North West Essex has led as shadow business and trade secretary since the Conservatives lost the general election in July, which prompted Rishi Sunak’s resignation.
Her campaign, “Renewal 2030,” aimed at preparing the Tories for a return to power in the next election. Known for her outspoken views on topics like maternity pay, gender equality, and net zero, Badenoch remains popular among party members and previously ran for leader in 2022.

My opinion is this, if Reformuk actually runs in every possible councillor seat at the local elections (which they must do to be taken seriously) and sweeps the board. Then the Tories are done as a mainstream party. On the other hand if Reformuk fails, it could end up being a situation where people reluctantly have no option to vote Conservative in 2029 just to remove Labour. Mind you depending on how the farmers protests turn out, Labour might not be in government by Christmas. If the farmers withheld food and demanded one, Labour even with a glass house majority would have no choice.

We have upwards of 70 million people in this country but the majority are still from white Anglo Saxon ancestry with our history rooted in a thousand years of Anglo Judeo culture and traditions. How can a woman of Nigerian ancestry possibly understand and represent people like me? I wouldn't have the arrogance to go to Nigeria and think I could represent them.

Badenoch is being lobbied by the metropolitan elites and to not leave the ECHR. This will be recognised by the electorate and I envisage a huge swing to Reform. They just don't get it.
